people.makeart is a repository of articles and lecture materials focused on the relationship between FLOSS, Free/Libre/Open Source Software, and digital arts, as well as a database of free digital art projects.

During the first phase of the project, a call for papers will be announced and the selected works will be merged with the existing collection of articles. In a second phase some videos and audio material from relevant lectures will be added. In a third phase the collection of papers will be used to print the 1st edition of the FLOSS+Art book. During the process a database will be built and fed, trying to list as much as possible free digital artworks and free software artists.

people.makeart est un répertoire d’articles et de documents de conférence axés sur les relations entre les logiciels libres et open source (FLOSS) et les arts numériques, et forme également une base de données des projets d’arts numériques développés grâce au libre.

Pendant la première partie du projet, un “appel à articles” sera publié sur le site people.makeart.goto10.org, les documents seront ensuite sélectionnés pour être intégrés à la collection existante d’articles.

Dans un second temps, des documents vidéos et audio parmi les projets les plus significatifs, seront ajoutés à la sélection.

Enfin, l’ensemble des articles et documents collectés seront publiés dans le premier ouvrage “FLOSS+Art”. Tout au long de la procédure, une base de données sera construite et réactualisée, de manière à lister un maximum d’oeuvres d’art numérique libres et d’artistes programmeurs libres.
